The trailer collided with another vehicle and jackknifed in the westbound lanes near milepost 22.8 in Byram around 10:05 a.m., NJSP Trooper Brandi Slota told Daily Voice.
The right lane was closed for cleanup following the crash, Slota said.
Police had not determined whether anyone was injured in the crash, however, the Lakeland Emergency Squad responded at the scene and confirmed multiple victims.
The crash remained under investigation.
